The concept of go and find a job was difficult before, but post the economic changes in 2009, it seems that this term and the previous connotations are almost obsolete.
With layoffs and long term unemployment so high it is very competitive the job market is very competitive. Here are some ideas to get you noticed and employed:

Self assessment can be done through taking tests, looking at and filling out checklists and or by brainstorming.
